Hi folks,
I just wanted to share my thoughts with you on this game and to try and show that if you get your tactics wrong, or it goes against you not to panic. Sometimes you do also need a bit of luck though!!!!!
Right before the game I looked at the tactics and both teams have been good in the cups this season. Bolton had yet to concede a goal, and had played two premiership teams. Birmingham had scored a few but have only kept one clean sheet in the FA Cup. But they did win the Carling cup. However, Birmingham did have some injuries. I did fancy Bolton to shade the game, but I was not sure about the 0-0, so I decided not to lay the draw. I laid over 2.5 goals and decided to ride that for 15-20 mins. I was looking at a profit and was just about to hedge out, but bolton scored. So I laid over 2.5 goals again for the same stake as previously (£12.50), and managed to reduce an £8 loss to a £0.14 loss. At this point I also laid Birmingham as they have only won 1 game during the season where they went behind. However, Birmingham scored just before half time, so I had to hedge out for a £9 loss, I did not want to risk the whole second half hoping that Birmingham did not score. Then I waited for another opportunity and during the second half bolton started to get on top so I laid the draw and bolton scored, and I managed to turn the £9 loss into a £0.40 loss on the match market. So I was only £0.54 down. Then I got a bit lucky as I laid the draw with two mins to go when Bolton had a free kick just outside the area, they did not score and I was about to hedge out, but before I could they scored and I managed to hedge for about a £3.50 profit, so I managed to make £3 on the game, when at one point I was losing about £20.
Happy trading and don't panic and be patience
