I managed to do a bit of trading this weekend. I made £2.69 on the Man City Vs Wigan game, but managed to lose, £8.81 on the Barcelona game, so lost £6.12 for saturday.
Today was a bit more productive. The odds for the Liverpool Vs Man Utd game were fairly even, so I laid the draw, and hedged out for a profit of £1.58 when Liverpool took the lead. I also rode the 0-0 for the first 15 mins of the game to make a profit of £2.01. I then laid the current score in the second half when Man Utd were pushing forward for a goal and won a further £3.80. So overall, not a bad days trading

Firstly congratualtions on your successes and long may they contiue. Just finished reading the blog from start to finish.
ReplyDeleteI have a few questions that hopefully you'll be able to answer for me:
Firstly, I see your inital aim was to make 3% of your bank per day, what sort of stakes where you using in terms of % of your bank?
Secondly, could you divulge any more information on the methods you've used?
Many thanks
Jamie
Hi Jamie,
ReplyDeleteThe main tactic I use is laying the draw. I tend to lay the draw when the odd are 5.0 or less. However, sometimes I will trade higher odds than this if I think it is worth the risk, like tonight's game with Chelsea (lay odds 6.4). I have a stop loss of 1.9 at all times when laying the draw. As for my stake, it has to be a stake such that when the odds get to 1.9 I only lose 5% of bank if it is still 0-0. I lay the draw with equal odds teams and odd on fav's, it depends on the stats on soccerstats, and team selection and head to heads.
I also tend to back the 0-0 for the first 15 mins of a game if it is a game between two close teams with good defences or two teams that don't score early goal.
I also trade in the under/overs markets, depending on the time in the game and how many goals are scored in that period between the two teams.
Hope that helps
