Tennis and Cricket

Hi folks,

Well all in all it has been a good days trading.

TENNIS

Murray Vs Gasquet - The H2H between these two guys was 2-2. However, in every match Gasquet had won the first set. So I decided to lay Murray from the begining at 1.33 for £10. I hedged out at 1.5 for a profit of +£1.08 when Gasquet had a couple of break points early on.

Fish Vs Berdych - Both players stats were very similar and both don't get broken very often, so I backed the server in this match and managed to lock in a profit of +£1.07.

Nadal Vs Del Petro - This game was very tight until the first set tie break, when it appeared as though Nadal had an injury. I waited to see the first few points of the tie break and Del Petro went 3-0 up in the tie-break and his odds had zoomed in from 5.0 to 2.2. So I thought this would be a good opportunity to lay him, as even if he did take the first set, I knew that Nadal would come back. I know it was a bit risky as the injury could have been bad, but Nadal tends to only quit if he really really has too, especially at Wimbledon. He turned the tie break around and as the second set went on Del Petro's odds drifted out and I hedged out for a +£1.36 profit.

Ferrer Vs Tsonga - Tsonga has been on good form recently, reaching the final at Queen's. His odds at the start of the match were about 1.6. So I decided to back him from the start. He got an early break and Ferrer, although he tries 100%, was no match for him. I hedged out when he was a break up for a profit of +£0.93

Tomic Vs Malisse - This kid Tomic looked very good in his last round match against Soderling. I know Soderling was feeling unwell, but the shots this kid was playing were very good, and he was so calm and cool. He started this match at odds of 2.2. At these odds I had to back him. He took a 5-0 lead in the first set and I hedged out for a +£1.30 profit.

So overall on the Tennis I made a nice profit for the day of +£5.74

Cricket

I traded the Hampshire Vs Sussex 20/20 match tonight. It was an awesome game with low scoring and great spin bowling. At the end of the Hampshire innnings they were a bit short of runs, only managing 126/8 for their 20 overs. The market had them at odds of 3.5 to win. From their first innings it was obvious that the pitch was a pitched for good seamers and more importantly, spin. With Hampshire having Afridi, who has been on awesome form with the ball and Imran Tahir, I decided that they were good value and backed them. Well the rest is history and Afridi and Imran Tahir and Cork, weaved their magic and I hedged out for a profit of +£6.37.

So overall my profit for the night was +£12.11

Happy Trading
