Well another good weekend of trading and of football
Premiership
The title race is still very tight with Liverpool, Man City and Chelsea all winning. Man City scored in the first 5 minutes against Southampton then sat back and played poorly until Southampton scored to make it 1-1. After that Man City dominated and took control to finally win comfortably.
Chelsea had a comfortable win against Stoke. The Liverpool match produced controversy as West Ham scored a equaliser on the stroke of half time, which was a blantant foul on the goalkeeper. The referee must have realised his mistake at half time as he awarded Liverpool a penalty in the second half that was clealy not a penalty. Liverpool eventually won the match 2-1
Arsenal played away to Everton, and clearly were not at the races. Everton destroyed them 3-0 and Arsenal are in free fall at the moment, if they are not careful they will not make the champions league.
Elsewhere key matches at the bottom took place, Sunderland lost 5-1 away to Spurs. Sunderland were competitive for the first 60 minutes but once they went 2-1 down, their heads dropped and they fell apart. I cannot see Sunderland escaping this year and I think they are almost certainly down. Fulham got an important win away to Villa, but is it too little too late? They play Norwich next weekend in a certain 'six pointer'. If Norwich win that, I think they will be safe. I can only assume they have sacked their manager to get the lift to win that one match, as their fixtures after that match are nigh impossible, but football is a funny game and you never know. Crystal palace got a great win away to Cardiff, and I think Cardiff are almost certainly down now as well. I just can't see were their next points are coming from.
So still lots to play for at the top and the bottom
So the Premiership produced no draws this weekend with a total of 32 goals being scored.
There were 5 home victories and 5 away victories; so a good weekend for laying the draw.
I LTD in three matches in the Premiership, Spurs Vs Sunderland, Newcastle Vs Man Utd and Man City Vs Southampton when it was 1-1. Fortunately, all three were successful trades. I also Layed the current score in the second half in the Everton Vs Arsenal match which was successful. I also had a small lay on Liverpool, which was not successful. However, a good weekend trading the Premiership with only 1 losing trade.
