England Cricket World Cup game today

Hi folks,

I decided to do a bit of trading during the England vs Holland Cricket World Cup game today. England bowled very poorly and Holland posted a decent score of 292.

So, I decided to lay England at 1.29 for £20. I reasoned that as England were not playing particularly well, if they lost an early wicket or got off to a slow start I could hedge out for a nice profit. If they got off to a fast start I only had a liability of -£5.80.

Sure enough England did get off to a fast start, however, after Pieterson threw away his wicket to a left arm spinner again, England did make hard work of it. The run rate required went up to about 7 and it was a close run thing. During the game I managed to reduced the liability on England to -£3.80. However, eventually England did manage to scrape through and won with about 7 balls to spare and I lost -£3.80. However, overall, I think it was worth the small risk and I think I traded the game well. I just wish I had been able to trade on the game during the morning as you could have layed England for 1.05.

Happy Trading
