This post is actually a day late, but I did not have enough time last night to post my thoughts.
Arsenal Vs Stoke
- Arsenal have won the last 8 matches in all competitions against stoke
- Robin Van Persie has scored 10 goals in his last seven premier league games.
- Arsenal have scored two or more goals in 13 of their last 15 premier league matches.
- Stoke have lost their last 4 premier league away matches, the last three without scoring.
- Arsenal undefeated in the last 9 matches (W6D3)
- Arsenal undefeated in the last 6 home matches (W5D1)
- Arsenal Home form = W9D1L3
- Stoke away = W3D1L9
- Stoke last 9 = W4L5 (Only 1 win away)
- Average goals scored 2.23 vs 0.92
- Average goals conceded 0.92 vs 1.46
- Clean Sheets 38% vs 15%
- Failed to score 15% vs 46%
- 70% of Arsenal home games over 2.5 goals
- 15% of stoke away games 1 goal
Even with Van Persie injured the stats were so much in Arsenal's favour. I decided to lay the draw, even though it was slightly out of my range at 5.5. I also decided to lay under 2.5 goals, as Arsenal do tend to score early goals at home and lots of goals at home.
Marseille Vs Man Utd
- United have lost only 1 of their last 20 champions league away games, winning 9 out of the last 10
- United conceded just 1 goal in the group stage
- Marseille have kept clean sheets in their last 4 champions league matches.
- CL games all man utd's goals in the second half. No early goals.
- League form:- Marseille (Home) W7D4L1
- League form:- Man Utd (Away) W3D8L1
- Average goals scored 1.58 vs 1.5
- Average goals conceded 0.75 vs 1.33
- Clean Sheets 42% Vs 25%
- Failed to score 8% vs 25%
The odds for this game were fairly even, so if I layed the draw I would only need anybody to score. However, Man Utd had 5 players out and the sides were fairly evenly matched, so I had a feeling this game could have been a stalemate, so I did not lay the draw. I rode the 0-0. I was going to ride the 0-0 for the whole first half, however, I did not have the confidence to stick in and hedged out after 15 mins for a small profit. Surprise surprise the game finished 0-0
Inter Milan Vs Bayern Munich
- Bayern have won both of their european matches against Inter at the San Siro.
- The 5 meetings between Bayern and Inter have seen two wins each and 1 draw and both sides scoring 6 goals in total.
- Inter are unbeaten in their last 10 champions league games at the San Siro, winning the last seven in a row.
- Inter have only won 2 of their last 8 champions league matches against German opposition.
- Bayern have won 7 and lost two or their last nine champions league games, but the two defeats were against Italian sides.
- Bayern have only won 2 out of 10 champions league away games against Italians sides.
- Bayern's last three champions league defeats away from home have all been by a 2-3 scoreline
League form:- Inter (Home) W9D3L1
League form:- Bayern Munich (away) W4D4L4
Average goals scored 2.46 vs 1.66
Average goals conceded 1.15 vs 1.66
Clean Sheets 23% vs 8%
Failed to score 15% vs 33%
Lay the draw as both teams evenly matched with respect to odds and only need one goal.
