Hi Folks,
People have asked me what is the best strategy to use and what stakes I use.
The answer to the first question is, there is not one easy strategy that can be successful for every game. When I first started trading, I thought, if this is true, there must be a system that gets you rich quick. Well sorry to disappoint, but there is no such system. Trading is hard work, and sometimes it is very frustrating.
When I trade over a weekend, a typical weekend for me is as follows:-
1) Saturday morning, I boot up the computer about 8-9am. I start to scan the days football games and tennis games, looking for games that have potential.
2) I then write the games down that have potential and research further, using soccer stats and the ATP website for the tennis.
3) After that the trading begins!!!
Strategy
The strategies I use are:-
1) Lay the draw
2) Lay over 2.5 goals
3) Lay under 2.5 goals
4) Lay AUQ
5) Lay the half-time score
6) Back the server (tennis)
7) Back the fav (tennis)
8) Lay the fav (tennis)
9) Lay the outsider (Tennis)
Stakes
My stake's are related to my stop-loss, which is always 3% of my bank
If I lay the draw, my stake is calculated base on the stop loss of 1.9, being 3% of my bank. I have a spreadsheet that works this out for me. Also, with laying the draw, I look for odds of less than 5.0. Occasionally, I might lay the draw at odds of 5.3, but all the stats have to add up, and even then, I might not trade.
Selections
LTD:- For laying the draw, firstly I look for games that have an odds on home favourite, were the lay draw odds are 5.0 or less. I also look for games were the odds are equal for both teams. I then look more closely at the stats on soccer stats, to see if the odds justify the stats. I then also use a combination of mathematics systems developed by Paul Steele and Kevin Pullein. These methods will narrow down my hits to 5 or 6 games to trade in.
I also use Paul Steele's and Kevin Pullein's methods for examining over the correct score market and under/over 2.5 goals market.
For the tennis, I am a member of Tradeshark's website. I would thoroughly recommend it. This guy really knows his tennis. I use the ATP tennis website for stats and use his methods of backing the server, etc for trading.
Anyway,. sorry for the rambling, I just wanted to give you an idea of what I do. Hope it helps, and if you have any questions give me a shout.
Happy Trading
