Hi folks,
Well no trading on the tennis for me tonight as I got home from work too late. So it was back to training mode and the pre-horse race markets.
I traded six races.
1st Race -£2.16
2nd Race £1.03
3rd Race £0.34
4th Race £0.88
5th Race £0.44
6th Race £0.55
So I had just the one loss, and made an overall profit of £1.08.
So a good start to my training. I will most probably keep training all over the summer until I feel confident enough to carry out some small real trades
Happy Trading
hey mate, are you trading pre-races like The Badger is explaining?
ReplyDeleteHi Pagy,
ReplyDeleteI am indeed trying the badger method. So far it has worked well. Even the one I lost (£2.06) was really my own fault as the odds I backed at were not at the bottom or at the top of the current trend, they were more in the middle, so really I should have 100% so far.
discipline is important :)
ReplyDeleteone thing I want to ask you, when is best time to enter to the market? Badger don't explain that in forum. I tried to scalp pre-races few moths ago and most money come 10 minutes before race is off. At what time before race are you placing bets?
Hi Pagy, I agree that most of the money starts coming in 10 minutes before the start. A couple of times, even when I made a profit I did get in a little bit earlier and the market would go against me 3-4 tick, but I do a stop loss of 6 ticks, as Uncle scrooge mentiond on the thread on Racing Traders, so I was ok, But with 10 minutes to go the money piles in and if you have a horse at the top or bottom of its current trend, you have a good chance or the market moving in the right direction.
