The 12:45 kick-off in the premiership, pits Sunderland, who are 9th, against Spurs, who are 4th. Spurs are still looking to finish in the top 4, and in particular, finish above Arsenal. Sunderland, really have nothing to play for during the end of the seaseon, other than to finish as high up as possible. Sunderland have won 5 of their last 10 matches but have only won 2 in the last 6 matches. They have averaged 1.33gpg in the last 6 and conceded 1.83gpg in the last 6 matches. Spurs have only won 3 of the last 6 matches and have only won 1 of the last 6 matches. They have averaged 1.17gpg in the last 6 matches and conceded 1.83gpg in the last 6 matches. Sunderland's home record is very good, during the last 6 matches they have won 5, scoring 1.83gpg and conceding 0.50gpg. Spurs on the other hand have won 0 of their last 6 away mathces, drawing 3 and losing 3 matches. They have scored 0.83gpg and conceded 1.67gpg. Sunderland have a winning% at home of 47%. Spurs away from home have a winning% of 40%. Sunderland score 1st at home 60% of the time and spurs score 1st away from home 53% of the time. Sunderland score 50% of their goals in the 1st half at home compared to 45% for Spurs away. Sunderland conceded 42% of their goals in the 1st half at home compared to 33% for spurs away. However, there is a goal 40% of the time in the 1st 15mins of spurs away matches, but only 27% of the time for Sunderland's home matches.
This is a tricky one to call as Sunderland do have a great home record and Spurs away form is not great, although they did get a good draw against Chelsea in the last away outing. Even taking that into consideration I cannot back Spurs from the begining or lay the draw. I might see how the match starts and maybe look to lay over 2.5 goals for the 1st 15-20mins, as both teams don't concede many early goals. I might look to lay over 1.5 goals later in the match when I can get a better price.
Happy Trading
Hi Gareth, I want to ask you what page are you using for statistics.
ReplyDeleteHi Pagy,
ReplyDeleteIn the past I used Soccerstats, but now I use Football data. co.uk. I just manipulate the data to get what I want. I have a detailed spreadsheet for each league.
Regards
Gareth
