French Open 2012

Now that the French Open has come to a close I thought I would do some analysis on my trading during the course of the tournament. The graph below shows my profit as the tournament progressed. I carried out 61 trades, winning 52 and losing 9 trades. This equates to a strike rate of 85%.

As can be seen from the graph, the tournament start was up and down for me. The first 10 trades were carried out during the first few days of the tournament. As I mentioned in a previous blog post, I changed my staking plan and introduced a more realistic stop loss from trade 11. I also started to become more disciplined. I did lose my discipline around about trade 32, but managed to recover the situation and get back on track. Overall for the tournament I finished approximately £45 in profit.
Looking at the ROI for the tournament, I had a winning average ROI of 25%. My average loss was 70% of my stake. The stop loss target for losing was 60-65%, so this result is a little bit higher than I wanted. However, if you ignore the first 11 trades, which had no stop loss; my average loss was 65.9%.
