Grass Court Season

Firstly just wanted to apologise for the lack of posts, especially stats, I have been quite busy.

Well the grass court season started this week with Queens’ in London and Halle in Germany taking place. I tried to trade both tournaments whenever I could. I am still using my £5 stakes, until I feel I am disciplined enough. I wish I could say that I traded both tournaments well, but I didn’t. There were quite a lot of upsets in both tournaments. Nadal lost in Halle, Murray and Tsonga went out early at Queen’s, and Federer got beat in the final in Halle by Haase, although I did make a profit in that one. Below is a graph showing my trading over the two tournaments.

I carried out 26 trades, winning 19 and losing 7, so my strike rate was 73%. Over the week I did keep my loses in check until the semi-final on Saturday at Halle between Haase and Kohlschreiber. I stayed in the trade too long and Haase broke towards the end of the second set and I lost my whole stake. I suppose over the whole week I kept my discipline about 90% of the time, but that is not good enough. I will keep trading with £5 stakes until I keep my emotions in check.

Happy Trading
