June’s Trading:- Old Habits Die Hard Part 1

Hi folks,

Well as the title suggests, the month of June has been a poor one. I will summarise my trading based on the sports I have traded.

Football

For the month of June I only traded the Euro’s. I was optimistic before the tournament started as I had been quite profitable two years ago when trading the World Cup. However, this time around, things did not go very well, and I seriously lost my discipline.

As can be seen from the graph, I did not get off to a good start, but twice I managed to turn things around and post a profit. However, towards the latter stages of the tournament, I had a couple of big losses and just lost all my discipline and started to chase the losses again. I carried out 59 trades, winning 34 and losing 22, with 3 scratch trades making up the numbers. I made a lost in June on football of -£220.41.
